Clinical Supervisor/RT VI - Outpatient Interventional Radiology
The Clinical Supervisor coordinates shift activities, workflow, and daily functions that ensure efficient and effective operations throughout a multidisciplinary facility. Supervisory oversight of subordinates includes, but not limited, staff scheduling, performance management, coaching, counseling and administrative functions related to the management of employees.
The Clinical Supervisor must also be able to perform all duties of the Radiology Technologist/RT (R) (VI) job description as well as meet the same clinical standards expected for that position. This position is accountable to prepare patients and perform routine interventional and vascular radiographic procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders and the procedure manual.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory oversight of subordinates to include, but not limited, staff scheduling, performance management, coaching, counseling and administrative functions related to the management of employees.
The Clinical Supervisor must also be able to perform all duties of his/her primary job description as well as meet the same clinical standards expected for that position.
Direct supervision responsibilities of clinical staff.
Coordinates the training and development of clinical staff.
Acts as a clinical resource for our associates, physicians, patients, and the community.
Oversees the orientation of new associates.
Participates in the development of clinical policies.
Approves PTO requests for clinical associates
Conducts daily clinical staff meeting to plan and prepare for the patients the next day.
Conducts clinical section meetings every other month.
Participates in data collection for the VIVA clinical quality initiatives dashboard.
Clinical or technical licensure possessing a valid license in the state of Virginia preferred.
4 years of experience in lnterventional Radiology and/or Vascular Surgery required.
2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Ability to work with physicians and staff in a confidential and efficient manner
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proven ability to work independently in a professional manner.
Sound decision making skills and time management skills required.
Ability to manage varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
