Performs patient care and technical Cath Lab duties, operates all cardiovascular diagnostic equipment and does routine calculations, all under the supervision of a senior technologist. Prepares rooms, equipment, and patients for catheterization assists physicians and other staff as required, and maintains lab readiness and cleanliness.
Graduate in either radiologic technology or cardio-respiratory care.
RT(R) Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) Licensure by Louisiana State Board of Radiology and AART or Licensed Respiratory Therapist by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiner and National Board of Respiratory Care certification or registration required.
Two or more years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab with experience in panning coronary arteries preferred.
Equipment and Tool Experience: Toshiba cardiac Cath x-ray equipment. McKesson Cath Lab system (Horizon cardiology).
Certification in ACLS..
