Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adultsÂ in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas.Â We offerÂ medical detox asÂ well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location.Â Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

The Maintenance Worker provides the foundation for safe, problem-free facilities at The Inn at Trails Corner and the Partial Hospital Program.Â S/He is knowledgeable of preventative maintenance procedures and repairs to building and grounds, and is able to complete assigned tasks independently and in a timely manner.Â
Duties include inspecting buildings on a weekly basis for needed repairs and maintenance, performing repairs and maintenance as directed by supervisor, performing grounds work to include snow removal, as well as daily janitorial tasks such as trash removal.Â Daily schedule is determined by requests made and approved by supervisor and/or Facilities Director, and may include systems testing and documentation or equipment maintenanceÂ as part of meeting regulatory standards.
After hours on-call responsibilities one week per month.
