The Director of Medical Imaging provides oversight and management for Medical Imaging at UnityPoint Health-Meriter and designated System of Care (SOC) locations. Includes direct responsibility and accountability for all technology, implementation, interfaces, upgrades, procedures, certifications, regulatory compliance, and staff training/competency. The Director of Medical Imaging works collaboratively with other UnityPoint Health leaders and our partners to support system initiatives around care model quality and safety, as well as to identify system best practice and sustainability opportunities. Special attention and leadership focused on service deployment and alignment across the SOC.
Requirements Include: ~BS degree in a health science, business management, or other related field. ~5 years of demonstrated effective leadership experience involving ~Knowledgeable of management principles and practices, including performance management and improvement. ~Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Include: ~Master’s degree in related field ~Experience in large healthcare organizations ~Prior Radiology experience. ~Certification by an appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging body through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) ~Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) ~Knowledge of TJC and regulatory standards
