Description Ultrasound Tech, PRN Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital Role Summary: Performs high quality Ultrasound Examinations with a high level of competence and professionalism on all types of patients regardless of age. This position requires an individual with proven communication skills and the ability to demonstrate efficient and compassionate care. Responsible for performing, under the direct supervision of the Radiologist, all facets of Ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, carotid, vascular and small parts. This position requires accurate and complete documentation and communication with Radiologist regarding clinical history and direct observation. Must demonstrate good organizational skills in order to maintain efficient workflow and adaptability in accommodating emergency and add-on exams. Reports directly to the LEAD Sonographer. He/She is responsible for all quality control and quality assurance activities within the area of Ultrasound. The Ultrasound Technologist shall also be responsible for completing and following assignments in order to maintain adequate and efficient utilization of personnel. Accountable for maintaining required continuing education credits and maintaining current knowledge of advancements and techniques within the modality. Technologists are required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
Department/Unit Summary: Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital currently offers the following imaging services: Mammography, Bone Density Imaging, Diagnostic Imaging/X-ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT, and Interventional Radiology services. We are proud to say that both of Ultrasound and Mammography services are ACR accredited. Associates have both inpatient and outpatient opportunities. Position Shift:
