| SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the supervisor or delegated charge person, utilizes independent judgment to assist physicians during radiological services to patients, while adhering to departmental and organizational policies, procedures and standards.
-Performs diagnostic procedures utilizing radiation detection and imaging equipment.
-Provides quality care to patients of all age groups; from newborn to elderly, according to department standards.
-Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
-Other related duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assists on site technologists with patient exam preparations.
-Assists with transfer of patients to and from stretchers, to the exam table.
-Sends studies to reading station for radiologist review, completes all associated documentation.
-Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of accredited Imaging Program.
Able to read, write and speak English.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
-1-3 years previous patient care experience
Certifications
Required:
-ARRT ( R ) and documentation of CT training and experience; must obtain CT Registry within one year of hire
-Current CPR/ BLS certification
