Valley Radiology Consultants is looking for a: FULL TIME MAMMOGRAPHER willing to assist with X-RAY as needed. Relocation reimbursement is available!
This position will be based in North County San Diego and may travel to either of our two locations within North County (Poway and Escondido) as needed for coverage of vacations and light staffing events. In addition, we have launched a mobile mammography bus that travels to third party clinic locations in San Diego County, and occasionally as far as Riverside County and Julian/Borrego. Candidate must be willing to assist with the staffing of that bus by occasionally travelling to clinic location and performing scans on site. We are a group of team players willing to step in when needed for the benefit of the whole! Majority of work will be mammography, but may require ability to cover X-ray during peak times, vacation coverage or call outs.
The Mammographer's primary role is responsible for calibrating and operating diagnostic equipment and works directly with the Physicians to perform diagnostic mammography and x-ray procedure with little to no supervision. The Mammographer works within the safety standards and regulatory requirements and participates in quality control (QC) and continuing medical education (CME).

-Qualifications as Follows-
Education & Licensure:
Current (or ability to apply, if out of state) CDPH Licensure for Mammography and Rad Technologist Current CR from ARRT required Solid understanding of ACR and MQSA regulations CPR Certification (American Heart Association - Healthcare Provider)
Prefer 2 years experience in performing mammography (stereotatic bx and needle locs a plus) and X-ray procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by radiologists. Adequate Mammography and X-ray experience and proven competence Experience in an outpatient Radiology clinical setting preferred General knowledge of information technology (PACS / RIS).
Specific Skills Desired:
Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and within prescribed exam times and follow all company imaging protocols Must possess understanding of the functionality of medical office operations, radiation safety, patient safety, desired patient through-put while providing optimal patient care, and consideration for patient's circumstances, preferably in outpatient radiology Ability to adhere to company personnel policies and practices including attendance and punctuality requirements Complies with all applicable policies, rules and regulations as outlined by the company, State and Federal regulations including compliance with HIPAA privacy and security Ability to maintain a calm and courteous demeanor and conduct business in a professional manner Ability to make independent decisions in performing procedures and works well under minimal supervision Ability to be on feet for shift duration Ability to adapt to rapid changes and fast pace work environment
