The MRI Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and staff supervision in the MRI service area of UVMMC. Ensures that mandates from regulatory agencies are in compliance for quality imaging, quality control and assurance for technologists, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records. This position is responsible for departmental operations, ACR accreditation, MR Quality and Safety, and participates in development of Radiology policies and procedures.
The Supervisor will have limited clinical imaging responsibilities and will assist the Radiology Manager with long range planning and the operational budget for MRI. As part of the management team, the supervisor assists the manager in fulfilling departmental goals and works with Lead Technologists and Educator with staff accountability, expectations and continued training. You will be working closely with a team of Technologists, Medical Assistants, and Radiologists, as well as other providers throughout our academic medical center. You will support our mission to provide the best care to our patients and families using our state of the art equipment and systems. Being flexible, able to multi-task and willing to keep up in our high-volume, fast-paced department is a must!
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (CAHEA/JRCT)
ARRT certified in MRI

Knowledge of general anatomy, including high level understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families, and co-workers
Current BLS certification
Five years as a certified MRI Technologist required
