Physician (Chief of Endocrinology)
This is a Chief of the Endocrinology section position in W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, North Carolina. The Chief of the Endocrinology physician functions in the care of outpatient and inpatient diabetes and endocrinology patients. A diabetes and endocrinology physician is a medical provider that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex cases of diabetes and a wide variety of hormonal and metabolic conditions. Physicians must have completed endocrinology fellowships and be board eligible or certified in this specialty. The physician must hold a doctorate of medicine with recent experience in the evaluation and management of patients with diabetes and/or endocrinologic disorders.
