This position is for a Supervisory Therapeutic Radiation Therapist (TRT) for the Radiology Service within the Memphis VA Medical Center and supervises the TRTs, while maintaining full responsibility for the performance of the department including the efficient function of the program, increasing productivity and improving workflows. The incumbent will also serve as a working supervisor. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following: Directs the technical operations, makes decisions concerning appointments, promotions, technical and status changes and recognition of various performance levels. Serves as liaison for local community college radiation therapy program and coordinates student activities in the service. Responsible for supplies and materials. Observes patient's progress throughout the treatment and informs Radiation Oncologist. Responsible for maintaining ACR accreditation and EIL inventory lists.
