The Director of Automation will be responsible for ensuring the Intelligent Automation Hub departmental infrastructure and business processes are built, implemented, well defined and communicated. This position will develop, distribute, and manage business plans for the department and key audiences. This position will develop the systems/workflow process identification and prioritization, analyze and report on business projects and key initiatives for the Intelligent Automation Hub. This requires effectively working with the executive stakeholders, external auditors, key functional partners as well as other members of the organization at all levels and at all campuses.
Provides consistent and appropriate administrative leadership for all areas of responsibility.
Conceptualize automation service offerings and solutions to define the organizational roadmap and logical progress of strategy through RPA, Cognitive (machine learning), and Artificial Intelligence.
Provides proactive leadership for review and implement new applications that help support and further the Geisinger mission.
Oversees and coordinates activities with all areas and coordinates with associated Business areas.
Works with managers in the various units to administer personnel policies, oversee work unit budgets, assess work needs, develop goals and objectives for the department, evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of operations, develop operational methods and systems to support the goals and objectives for the program.
Oversees all aspects of the department, including contracting, strategy development, problem resolution and support.
Acts as the primary point of contact for all areas of responsibility.
Interacts with senior leaders and executives to articulate and drive the Automation strategy, both internal and external to Geisinger.
Defines and drives an end to end process from discovery, prioritization, development, testing, production in addition to maintenance and stabilization.
Works with user departments to insure all legal and regulatory requirements are followed.
Provides leadership to the department in running the delivery and operations with an aim to meet and excel their organization's requirements and agreed metrics.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs, including productivity standards.
Explores new technologies and services to bring creative solutions to support business requirements, and venture partnerships.

Experience of having worked with 3rd party vendors and consulting

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of ten years automation, information technology or machine learning related experience.
Minimum of five years managerial/supervisory experience.
