Fairview Health Services is looking for a Service and Product Assistant work in the Surgical Case Cart department at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.
The Service and Product Assistant (SPA) Case Cart will be supporting the Surgical Services Dept (OR, PACU) and is responsible for delivery, replenishment, cleansing and maintenance of appropriate surgical equipment, supplies, and forms. The SPA maintains adequate inventory levels of equipment and supplies and responds to customer requests for supplies and demonstrates effective communication.
Performs the job duties and responsibilities associated with PAR stock replenishment, storage and distribution of surgical inventory, surgical case cart preparation and clinical equipment inventory control and tracking. Provides quality and timely distribution of various product lines, supply delivery systems and equipment to medical and clinical staff for patient care procedures. Ensures the integrity of all products and equipment carried in department inventory is maintained according to established standards of practice.
Distributes and tracks patient care equipment throughout the respective campus location.
Processes and fills supply requisition orders System departments and external customers.
Processes patient supply and equipment charge information.
Performs surgical case cart preparation
Assists with surgical sterile storage inventory control and distribution.
Performs inventory management functions, including stock breakout and restocking, product shelf surveillance and physical/cycle count inventories.
Maintains sufficient inventory levels of stock and non-stock items.
6 months comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels.
Independent use (experience) of computers including data entry
Ability to bend, reach, stand and lift a maximum of 50 pounds
1+ years of comparable experience. Vocational or Technical Training, Associates Degree.
Previous experience in a related health care job/field
Experience or training with surgical instruments
Experience in service, product supply distribution
Excellent customer service and communication
Proficient in the English language (read, write, speak, comprehend)
Attention to detail
Ability to problem solve effectively and prioritize
