This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System and the University of Texas Dell Medical School are currently recruiting an academic pulmonary medicine faculty physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position will be primarily based at the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Austin. The position will be responsible for managing outpatient Pulmonary and Sleep Consultations and teaching residents and fellows (pending ACGME application for fellowship) three days per week. The selected candidate will have an academic appointment with the Dell Medical School and will have the opportunity to participate in inpatient pulmonary and critical care medicine and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows through a separate employment agreement VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
