The Social Worker (Outpatient Mental Health Team Program Coordinator) assumes the supervisory and administrative responsibility for the management of staff who function within the Outpatient Mental Health team. You will assist in planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures; developing individual or group goals and objectives as well as monitoring, operating, evaluating, coordinating and overseeing staff of the assigned programs. Major Duties include but are not limited to the following: Ensures staff adhere to all current directives of VHA, and meet current Joint Commission standards, State licensure standards, and VA-0IG expectations Conducts ongoing intensive reviews and appraisals to ensure the accomplishment of objectives Participates in formulating policy as it relates to graduate education, in-service training, program development, research and policy affecting day-to-day operations of the service Ensures the timely performance of professional services in assigned program areas Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff that is clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system Performs program analysis, development, review, research, design, and contact work as possible with various agencies (public, DOD, state, etc.) Ensures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Telework: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
