The VISN 17 EDRP Coordinators: VISN17EDRP2@va.gov Job Summary: The Tyler Pharmacy Program Manager will serve as a first line supervisor and Pharmacist-in-Charge to provide leadership, direction, planning, organization, and implementation of pharmacy programs within the Tyler Outpatient Pharmacy Section. The incumbent develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and pharmacy objectives, emphasizing patient care, patient safety, and performance improvement. This individual performs higher level duties consisting of significant scope, administrative independence, and complexity. The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing appropriate procedures; overseeing compliance with all local, national policy and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards; ensuring competency of personnel. The Program Manager is responsible for maintaining reports in our pharmacy areas and taking appropriate action for any deficiencies. Thorough knowledge and understanding of various regulations including FDA, DEA, USP, NIOSH, OIG and the Joint Commission and VHA national and local handbooks and directives, policies and standard operating procedures pertaining to the practice of pharmacy is required. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM, 8:00AM-4:30PM. May include weekends/holidays.
