The Tampa VA Medical Center is hiring (1) Physical Therapist (Program Coordinator) to work in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS). Physical Therapist (Program Coordinator) duties consist of but are not limited to the following: This Program Coordinator Physical Therapist is recognized by hospital staff as the first-line contact for Aquatic Center needs. He/she acts as liaison between clinical staff, specialty services and programs, the PT Manager and/or Supervisor, and PMRS leadership. The incumbent has the ability to effectively direct, guide, and positively influence a diverse staff. He/she demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution skills conducive to supporting a psychologically safe environment. He/she has the ability to analyze clinically appropriate data effectively to optimize quality, performance improvement efforts, and productivity standards for staff assigned. This includes generating relevant reports for the local facility. The incumbent has the ability to set priorities, delegate tasks, and solve problems in order to meet multiple deadlines and identify/address departmental problems. He/she assists the PT Manager and/or PT Supervisor with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to address focused clinical needs and the overall services delivered and provided within the Aquatic Center, including policies and procedures regarding emergency preparedness. He/she assists in Aquatic Center programming development, outcome management, and strategic planning. Incumbent represents these areas for PM&RS strategic planning. He/she is involved and guides the referral and screening process for incoming referrals to the assigned program areas for appropriateness and ensures timely access, scheduling, and treatment. He/she is responsible for delegating and assigning work to interdisciplinary staff assigned throughout the Aquatic Center, in coordination/conjunction with supervisory staff involvement, to ensure optimal clinical care. He/she implements programs, policies, and procedures to meet program goals and accreditation requirements (i.e. CARF, JC, EOC rounds, academic affiliates, etc.).
