Overview The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible to applying insurance and patient payments against patient accounts utilizing multiple accounts receivable systems. Overall expectations are as follows: Balances Insurance/Bank account receivables. Ensures insurance payments/patient payments balance to bank deposits Identifies and problem solves balance discrepancies Applies patient (self-pay)/insurance payments to patient accounts(s). Identifies claim number and enters payments and adjustments. Verifies account balance against payment total. Identifies and problem solves account discrepancies.
