The Supervisor, Fleet is responsible for all aspects of fleet vehicle operations. Plans, organizes, and supervises the day-to-day activities in fleet operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Supervises assigned staff (transportation and delivery team) which includes the responsibility for, or whose recommendations are given particular weight, for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. Will schedule, coach, and counsel assigned staff. Manages and meets financial responsibilities through negotiating automotive work performed by outside vendors and monitoring employee work assignments. Monitors and ensures proper operation, function, compliance and safety to patients, staff, and visitors of the fleet buildings equipment systems as electrical, fire, plumbing and mechanical equipment and computers and software programs used in the fleet operation. Maintains accurate and up-to-date department documentation for all vehicles, employees and vendors. Tours and schedules appropriate projects to improve the visual image and environment of the facility. Ensures the fleet building offices and work areas are neat, clean, and organized at all times to promote a safe work environment. Researches and presents ideas for improving systems, equipment, methodologies, etc. that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and sustainability. Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary to meet repair, preventive maintenance, installation, and system upgrade schedules. Ensures that preventative maintenance and repair work order schedules are met or exceeded and within cost effective objectives. Tracks all productive work hours to ensure accurate charges to supported departments. Plans and schedules monthly department meetings and in-services to cover safety, infection control, body mechanics, communication tools, customer service, equipment usage, and other topics. Maintains accurate records and maintenance on all vehicles, including, but not limited to, all repairs, recalls, and documentation of title, tags, and emission tests.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Must maintain a safe driving record. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and work order systems. Solid understanding or background in auto electrical and mechanical systems. Possess strong technical, mechanical, and problem solving skills. Ability to interact and communicate with all customers and team members in a positive and professional manner. Ability to give clear, concise and complete direction.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- EXPERIENCE - 3 Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
