Role Summary:

Responsible for assistance in the development of the department by efficient delivery of cardiopulmonary care. Under medical supervision the respiratory therapist will be responsible for the delivery of cardiopulmonary services to patients in all areas of the facility. The therapist is expected to perform duties and responsibilities with only minimal or indirect supervision and must frequently make independent decisions. Standards of performance as determined by the Respiratory Therapy Department must be maintained.

** to be bonus eligible, Candidates must be new to VUMC or if rehired must be gone longer than 12 months to receive the bonus

Department Summary/Key Responsibilities:

The Respiratory Department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital is searching for a RRT or CRT to join their team!

• Provide oxygen administration
• Arterial puncture and blood gas analysis
• Ventilator management
• Non-invasive ventilator management
• Aersolized medication
• Pulse oximetery
• Chest physiotherapy
• Airway management
• Responds to Codes
• Attend high risk births
• Perform EKGs as needed

Position Shift:

• 6pm - 6am

Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) and < 1 year relevant experience

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

• BLS Required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist Within 6 months

Additional Qualification Information:

• PALS, ACLS, NRP
