Position Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I, is a mid-level position in the Neurodiagnostic department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I performs routine and complex EEGs procedures according to facility policy and procedures; maintains patient safety during clinically significant events, and other related duties. Communication skills and team work are essential for this position. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I works under the clinical and technical supervision of the Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist and department Manager.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
• Enrollment in or graduation from an ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) Neurodiagnostic (END) Program,
  or,
  An Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university in health care/science,
  or,
  Training in EEG at an acredited Health Care Facility and eligible for the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) EEG board exam
  (Required)

Experience

• One year EEG experience, which may include student clinical rotation. (Required)
• Pediatric EEG experience (Preferred)

Certifications

• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (Required)

Special Skills

• Well-developed pc and Microsoft Windows knowledge (Required)
• Effective communication skills, hard worker, and a team player (Required)
