Responsibilities:
Performs PET scan procedures to include:
Place IVs & injection of radiopharmaceutical
Setup of protocols
Reconstruction and development of images
Complete necessary documentation to ensure timely delivery of services
Archiving of images
Network image transfers
Management of hot lab and radiopharmaceutical doses
Ensure all Radiation Safety procedures are followed and documented
Maintain proper documentation for state and regulatory compliance
Manage Scheduled procedures and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow
Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files
Maintains education in PET/CT for development of teaching and educational information
Provide back-up coverage for diagnostic CT and CT simulation
Qualifications:
AS or BS degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an CNMT accredited program is required
CNMT certification required
AS or BS degree in Radiologic Technology or X-ray Operator License preferred
Experience with placing IVs
Current CPR certification required
