The Division of Medical Physics for Baylor Scott and White Healthcare, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a MS-Level (in Medical Physics, Physics, Nuclear Engineering or other related physical science degree) Medical Physicist in Radiation Therapy to join our team and to support clinical operations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. This position will partner with one additional PhD level physicist covering 3 clinics; Waxahachie, Irving, and Duncanville. The position will be primarily clinical position which requires traveling between the three clinics. Among the three clinics, there is 2 Varian TrueBeam, 1 Varian 21EX, 2 Varian Varisource and 3 CT simulators.
The successful candidate will be responsible for physics support in the clinic and work with other members of the radiation oncology team to provide highest level of clinical service. Primary responsibility for this position includes, but not limited to.
Performs, evaluates, and manages regularly scheduled quality assurance testing of treatment related machines and/or systems (linear accelerator, brachytherapy, computed tomography, and radiation treatment planning system).
Performs and supervises any radiation treatment that requires a therapeutic medical physicist to be present.
Performs, supervises, and evaluates any computer aided planning and/or calculation for radiation treatment (external beam and brachytherapy).
Performs and evaluates patient related dosimetric measurements to evaluate treatment quality.
Provides consultation to radiation oncologists, clinical staff and patients if requested.
Participates in acceptance and commissioning of new treatment modality.
Participates in state and federal compliance of the department.

Master in Medical Physics or related Field.
Licensed by the State of Texas as a Medical Physicist required.
Eligible for Therapeutic Medical Physics board certification by the American Board of Radiology required. Must have passed Part I of ABR therapeutic medical physics certificate.
The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing and dynamic division of ten full-time physicists (accounting for Central and North Texas), six dosimetrists and four physics residents. Along with two radiation oncology residents, Baylor Scott and White Health has thirteen Radiation Oncologists with significant experience in a wide variety of specializations.
