The role you’ll contribute:

The Senior Systems Engineer designs, installs, configures, implements, and supports all aspects of the software environment and/or manages and provides technical guidance and oversight for all aspects of the software process, acting as a point of escalation and technical expert.  Mentors team members.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Provides team guidance and oversight.  Leads team members in complex problem analysis and issue resolution.  Provides technical guidance and oversight.  Mentors team members on best practices, standards, and technology.  Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team and the infrastructure.
• Performs monitoring, alerting, reporting, and trending.  Monitors and assists with the proactive identification and resolution of problems.  Assists with the collection of data and establishing facts in order to determine the cause of these problems. 
• Performs preventative maintenance while providing maximum availability.  This includes patching, updates, and/or configuration changes.
• Participates in the change control process, as required.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Performs capacity management and budgeting.
• Performs warranty tracking and maintenance.
• Ensures the required tasks associated with Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
• Maintains documentation

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent years of experience in system administration/system engineering
• Five years of systems engineering experience in a work environment
• Experience supporting a complex environment, with multiple locations and rapidly changing operational and technology changes
• Experience comprehending technical manuals and instructions
• Experience writing technical specifications and creating designs
• Experience mentoring and training team member

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Analytical skills
• Ability to provide guidance and oversight to team
• Systems Administration
• Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019
• Experience supporting Radiation Oncology, Healthcare Technology, or related field preferred
• Experience with medical imaging (PACS) preferred
