The Breast Imaging Division of the Duke University Hospital Department of Radiology seeks applicants for a full-time academic Breast Imager position that begins in 2024. Duke Radiologys Breast Imaging Division at DUH, which includes 9 clinical faculty and 3 fellows, serves the Triangle area of North Carolina as well as patients referred from the entire Southeastern United States.

The Breast Imaging Division of Duke University Hospital is one of the premier academic breast imaging programs in the country, excelling at patient care, advancing the science of breast imaging, and training the next generation of radiologists in all facets of breast imaging. The division supports the Duke Cancer Institutes breast surgery and oncology practices as well as Duke Healths rapidly expanding primary care network.

Breast Imaging resides in the beautiful, modern Duke Cancer Center on the campus of Duke University Hospital. Our practice is organized to shepherd patients through the entire range of imaging in one visit, including the ability to perform same-day biopsies in almost all circumstances. The Department of Radiology has a substantial research infrastructure which includes biostatistical and administration support, a clinical research MR scanner, a research CT/PET, and a close collaboration with Departmental PhD scientists and researchers across Duke.

Candidates must be ABR-eligible or ABR-certified, have completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship. and have demonstrated excellence in research, education, and clinical care.  We are particularly interested in the identification and promotion of faculty who are women or underrepresented minorities.
