Job Summary
Under general supervision, safely and responsibly drives the DHHA Women's Mobile Clinic (WMC) to and from its home location. Assumes proper set-up and break-down of WMC to service patients, including starting Hologic equipment. Provides general reception services, including patient registration. Trouble shoots non-working equipment by contacting appropriate support services (e.g., Hologic tech support, Biomed, eHealth Services) and notifies manager in timely manner. Secures WMC prior to return for overnight parking. Operates a variety of office equipment. Drives to and provides patient registration at different CHS clinics, Woman's Correctional Facility, and other locations as specified by Mobile Clinic schedule. Works flexible hours, including split shift and weekends as needed.
Essential Functions:
Leads clinical, financial, operational, strategic and business services. (25%)
Consults on cases with Supervisor, Manager, Director or Medical Director as needed. (25%)
Assists with reviewing, making recommendations, and revising policies and procedures for the department. (25%)
Sub for all Denver Health Couriers on any of the Denver Health courier routes when necessary. (25%)
Education:
Education: High School Diploma, and pass DHHA pre-hire computer competency and typing tests. Experience: Typically one year experience with recent CDL driving; recent past 12 months commercial vehicle of 26,000 lbs. or greater. Three years of clerical experience. Experience with basic data entry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Fluent in speaking, writing and reading Spanish. Ability to provide a high level of computer accuracy, spelling, telephone/communication skills, face-to-face communication skills, critical analytical thinking skills, and to be skillful in customer service. Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the electrical systems, including fuse box systems, and how they pertain to all functioning components of the WMC, air brake systems in commercial vehicles over 26,001lbs and of chassis diesel engine and the components it powers. Ability to communicate with multiple and varied DHHA Departments (e.g., Patient Registration, Engineering, Biomed, Radiology, Safety Department) and to prioritize and perform a multitude of duties. Ability to recognize, initiate and lead improvement efforts through initiative, judgment, tact and discretion. ~Valid Class A or Class B Colorado Commercial Driver's License CDL "B". License must be kept current as a condition of continued employment in this class. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
Work Experience:
1-3 years Experience in a customer-facing position.
Licenses:
DLAB-Colorado Commercial Driver's License Class A or B - DMV - Department of Motor Vehicles Required within 6 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
Customer service skills
Microsoft Office Suite required.
Strong customer service skills.
