About NOVA INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED PERIODONTICS & IMPLANTOLOGY
In 2001, Dr. Feeney received his post-Doctoral training in periodontics and implantology at the University of Maryland, College of Dental Surgery in Baltimore. There he met Dr. Passero, who at the time was on the schools volunteer faculty. "We realized we had instant synergy." Dr. Feeney says. "I knew we'd be a great fit, and we truly enjoy practicing together." Over the past decade the partnership has continued to strive with the focus being on exceptional patient care and comfort. "We are constantly evaluating new technologies that promise to improve our patients health; however, we will not incorporate these treatments into our practice until we have seen quality, evidenced based research proving the material or procedures validity."
In his post-Doctoral program, Dr. Feeney was involved with clinical based research in implantology and platelet rich plasma, human growth factors that can improve patients' healing response. "It's such an exciting time to be in this field," he says. "Rapidly advancing technologies are enabling us to serve our patients at unprecedented levels of excellence. I enjoy staying in step with current developments and sharing new knowledge with my patient...s."
While in school full time in Baltimore, Dr. Feeney also practiced part-time as a general dentist in Annapolis. Through the course of his academic career, he garnered numerous awards and scholarships of scholastic excellence.
