Our dedicated team at AdventHealth South Overland Park provides a full suite of medical and emergency services to communities in southern Johnson County. Our team of experts offer 24/7 emergency room services, ICU care, labor and delivery, cardiology care, surgical services, physical, occupational and speech therapy, imaging and more. The state-of-the-art hospital is connected to a medical office building with a full suite of medical services including internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, endocrinology and more. The role you’ll contribute:
Cleans the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment in the kitchen as necessary, as well as some food preparation.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Washes and sorts flatware, serving dishes, china, and glasses
Operates dishwashing machine
Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation surfaces, counters and shelves in the kitchen following each meal
Sweeps and mops floor in kitchen after each meal. Sweeps, mops, removes trash as assigned. Operates and cleans dish machine and assigned equipment per department procedures, including routine sanitizer solution and temperatures checks
Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per SDS sheets
Responsible for retrieving soiled carts
Responsible for portioning food items using systems of accurate weights/measures.
Follows all regulatory requirements as required
Keep accurate temperature logs and chemical strength records
Must maintain a professional appearance
Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have proficient customer service skills
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms
Knowledge about working in the food industry
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
High School Education or equivalent
One year of technical experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
May be required to obtain and maintain state specific certifications
