Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Clinical Diagnostic Lab Assistant Intern in Phoenix, Arizona!
As a Clinical Diagnostic Lab Assistant Intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. About the Team:
The Phoenix Laboratory consists of a variety of departments such as microbiology, clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology and others that work as a part of the whole to provide quality results to our patients and clients.
Internship Assignment Summary:
Rotate through different areas in the laboratory to gain a better understanding of functions.
Work with a dedicated trainer to learn instrumentation used within a clinical laboratory setting.
Assist with the daily functions required including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases.
Engage in professional development to further your career in a laboratory environment.
Perform lab assistant and specimen processing duties
To be eligible for a Labcorp internship candidates have to return to finish a minimum of one semester of course work toward their degree after the internship - an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Working towards bachelor?s degree in microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, biology or Medical Laboratory Science. Preferred December 2025 or May 2026 graduates
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced high-volume environment and while prioritizing and manage multiple tasks
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Career goals that align with working in a medical diagnostic or anatomical pathology lab as a technologist
High level of attention to detail
Comfortability with handling biological specimens, such as blood, tissue, cells, stool, or urine
Ability to communicate, think creatively, and embrace an ever evolving career field.
Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
This is an early shift opportunity. Hours are 6am-2:30pm Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $17-21

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
