Chairperson, Emergency Medicine

Northwell Health’s Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Chair. In this role, you'll have complete operational, clinical, and academic oversight of the department. You’ll collaborate with our experienced service line leadership team in efforts such as recruiting, finance, business development, and more. You’ll also have the incredible opportunity to work with other healthcare professionals across Northwell Health’s extensive integrated network.

South Shore University Hospital is a 341-bed academic tertiary hospital that treats patients with a wide range of conditions. Highlights include:

• Emergency Medicine and Transitional Year Residency Programs

• Staffing: BC/BP EM physicians & experienced EM ACPs

• ACEP Geriatric ED level 3 certification and PACED bronze level certification
• Comprehensive stroke center designation
• Admission Rate: 17.3%

• Dedicated ED behavioral health unit

• IT: Dragon Dictation; EPIC (coming soon)
