Nuclear Medicine Technologist
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs, develops, writes, implements and refines procedures in the areas of Imaging (planar, SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET, and PET/CT), in vivo procedures (e.g. determination of bone mineral density, Vitamin B12 absorption, blood volume, and others), Radiopharmacy, Research studies, Radiation Safety procedures, assistance with radionuclide therapies, and database management, including management of images with the hospital PACS system. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Certification: All applicants must be certified in nuclear medicine technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR the American Registry
