Job Description:

Shift: Choice between 5x8 or 4x10 schedule Monday- Friday
Day Shift
Call Required
Works a flexible schedule as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures the room is prepared with all necessary equipment and supplies for each procedure. Takes call on weekends, rotating included, and performs emergency procedures while meeting on-call requirements. Transfers images to PACS, updates logs, and performs other duties as assigned by the tech manager or director. Collaborates effectively with a multi-disciplinary team. Performs hemodynamic and patient monitoring functions during procedures. Scrubs in and performs clinical procedures independently, obtaining anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation. Manages high-stress situations such as codes, STEMIs, and emergencies with skill and knowledge to scrub and monitor independently. Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated equipment, instruments, and supplies for each procedure. Cleans after cases, including emptying trash, cleaning sterile tables, and transferring patients. Stocks equipment and ensures availability for procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of medical technology and terminology
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Desire to learn and upgrade clinical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows
• Understanding of current JCAHO Standards for the clinical aspect of the department
Education:
• Associate's [Required]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• 1+ of experience/training through clinicals in echocardiography and/or vascular technology [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred] AND
Radiologic Technologist - License (ARRT & MRT) [Required] OR
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Required] OR
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) [Required] OR
